Born and raised in the projects, Laura Rizo is a passionate educator and speaker whose research and career have emphasized her deep commitment to fostering social-emotional well-being in schools and organizations.  With 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher and school counselor, her educational philosophy centers on the powerful intersection of emotional and intellectual growth.  The soon to be Dr. Rizo earned her doctorate in education from National University, specializing in social-emotional learning.  She leverages her academic expertise to help organizations create impactful learning spaces.  Laura Rizo has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to education, receiving three consecutive awards for Texas Sponsor of the Year and Bilingual Teacher of the year.  She has delivered workshops and keynotes at many events.  Her mission is to inspire and equip organizations to cultivate spaces where emotional resilience and success can thrive.
